Which would be a repeat of last night, plus wings and fries at Blondies, which by the way is a meal fit for the Gods (of Drunk). Can I just say how much I love the bartender at my local, who did shots with us? Thanks, T!

I've spent plenty o' time drankin' in bars from sea to shining sea and across the pond, and only in New York have I witnessed bartenders drinking with the clientele. Usually on Long Island and usually during Yankees games. What's T's excuse? Oh, don't tell me--you were buying, right?
My favorite bartender that drank with us was at a wedding reception in Appleton. The guy had a very liberal view as to what a "shot" was -- figure two or three fingers of tequila. Every time we had one, he'd have one with us for the "Guys back in 'Nam."
Our bartender poured his own shots -- we didn't pay for him.
That sounded like a cool night! I've never had a bartender drink with me before. Maybe it's banned in Chicago or somethin' ;)
Actually, it was very cool, and we weren't buying his. In fact, the shots were free. Both nights, T was all "Here guys, I got the next round!"
I loves him. But he did get $5 tips on those free shots, lol.

Stolie--it's a sports bar on 79th between broadway and amsterdam. I actually had never been before this weekend, but when we went to the bar to get drinks, a couple next to us had this plate full of artery blocking goodness--waffle fries covered in crazy things like chili and cheese and sour cream and jalapenos. It really was GREAT!!!
Blondies...I think that used to be a great pizza spot in San Fran....awwwww, the memories. I gotta' look that up now. ;-)
