Mmmm, how sick is it to want to spend money to stay at a hotel in a city you live in?
Because I think I really need to stay here for one night before I leave New York. I've passed it several times on the way to various eating adventures, and I always think, "I should stay there." It's lunacy, I know. But have you seen the rooms? The bar? The balconies? The restaurants and spa/lounge? Sigh. Must find scads of cash lying in street. Or sugar daddy. Or winning lottery ticket.

How 'bout you stay when you come back to visit...don't forget the bed bug situation with the hotels in NY. ugh!
I *LOVE* that place!!! It offers the best views of the city. :)
I haven't been there in ages; I like it best during summer time when it's open air and hot guys are swimming in their rooftop pool. :)
Ahhhh, summer. Get here all ready.
Staying in a hotel in the city you live in is the ultimate delicious decadance - especially if it's that hotel!
Looks fantastic! But anon raises a good point, why not stay there when you go back to NYC to visit? I stay in hotels in chicago all the time when there are events and such. So it's not crazy, it's fun!

i've stayed at a couple of hotels in nyc even though i live here, it's so much fun. sometimes you can get good rates at the last minute or on "off" weekends...
when i was in high school the paramount had just opened and i got one room for one night - new year's eve. against the management's rules, i had a party in my room. every time security came to the door i hid 15 people in the bathroom so it seemed like only seven to ten people were in my room... i think it cost me $125 but it was LONG ago...
a few years ago my best friend had a birthday party at - he rented the whole top floor (which is two penthouse suites, but both have decks/terraces). we had a summertime candlelit boozy indoor/outdoor party and then the VIPs slept over... the price was less that you might think, he got a package deal for reserving both rooms - it was certainly less than renting out a party space...
also a few years ago i was in a LDR with a guy in san francisco. he came to visit and i got us a night at the regent wall street, which was luxe luxe luxe and gorgeous and had a bathroom LITERALLY larger than my LES studio. that hotel has since closed. my brother had some hookup with his wall street job & that hotel, so again, it didn't cost a fortune.
in other words: I'M ALL FOR IT!
i actually want to live in a hotel but maybe i should just post about that on my own damn blog. sorry to go on so long!
I'm in. Let's figure out a way to sweet talk our way into a DEAL!
