Apropos of nothing.
But I just thought of this guy randomly, and since V day is rapidly approaching, I thought I'd throw it out there: EW. Chubby, bespectacled, ginger-haired white kid in my art class, freshman year of high school, was my only actual high school crush. He is one of two random fellows I like to think of (because it's dramatic and hooey and easy) as possibly missed, unlikely soul mates. Or something. Okay, your turn. Spill. They'll never know! Oh, also, I just ate a third of a pound of Oreos, with soy milk. Damn my lack of restraint! This means double time at the gym tomorrow. Hells bells.

i'm a crush addict. i can't even count how many crushes i've had in my life so far.
i had a crush on this kid in my biology class when i was in high school - he was super shy, from colombia, and had green eyes. but they were so dreamy that i decided that they were not green - they were pastel aqua. that became his nickname. pastel aqua and i had one conversation in the hall before graduation, and it was about two minutes long.
BUT. at my 10 year reunion i saw pastel aqua. and pastel aqua saw me. and i said, "you know i had a crush on you, right?" and he said, "i had the biggest crush on you" and we spent the second half of the party making out on a couch upstairs in the restaurant.
i wish i could say that we're still together, but it ended very shortly after that. we went on one - maybe two dates. then i had to go on a business trip, then he was working late, then we both got busy, and i haven't seen him since.
i have at least 6 more stories like this - crushes i actally made contact with, only to have the magic fade away.
happy valentine's day, huh?
hmm...
i might have to make a crush list, just to see how long it is.
Let's see. I haven't had many crushes because growing up -- the boys were gross and I didn't like them.
But my first crush was in fifth grade. His name was Matt and he had red hair and freckles. Did gymnastics and was nerdy-cute. Nothing ever came of it and I don't think that either of us would of really worked out.
first, in 2nd grade, there was ivan. blonde, wore adorable OP shorts with Vans. (can you tell i grew up in california?) then, in junior high, it was bobby. blonde, wore adorable OP shorts with Vans. then, in high school, it was dana. dark hair, green eyes, captain of our tennis team.
and THEN came my rather long Angry Virgin period in college. but after came 'Knightley': maker of violins, scottish, great knees and a shock of floppy brown hair. and my adult crush: steve, a dana throwback: dark hair, green eyes, ex-crew team. yargh. he undid me.
